NORWAY!
I was confronted with the thought, “how can I not go?”

I went to Norway!!!!! A place similar to New Zealand in the fact that i grew up hearing about it in history class but not fully sure where even in the world it was. As I continue to see more people groups and cultures, It’s just an honor to follow Jesus and see his glory revealed nation after nation.
Why did I go? Well, in January of 2021 I moved to Hawaii to be a part of a worldwide missions sending movement called YWAM. After going on outreach in Uganda, I committed the following two years to join staff. I continued in leading teams on outreaches around the world. All the meanwhile, my heart growing more in love with Jesus and seeing his name proclaimed in all the earth as I became more willing to know He’s worth my yes.
All this to say, I’m not currently on staff with YWAM, but I’ve reached this moment in my life where I’m like how can I not respond? When there’s people who haven’t heard the name of Jesus, how can I not go? Where there’s sons and daughters waiting to come home, how can I not go?
Since my outreach to New Zealand ended in June 2023, I’ve been on the mainland, not because I’m sick and tired of full time ministry hahaha, but because I must be obedient to God’s voice. In this season, obedience looks like living on the mainland, and let me tell you, in ways it feels harder than being a part of YWAM and going to other nations.
But, God is so kind and knows the desires of our hearts. Mid-November, I got a call from my friend Alex (still a part of YWAM) and she asked me to GO! Three of my best friends were spending the first half of December traveling around Norway (to YWAM bases) to teach, lead worship, and encourage in the DTS’ (discipleship training schools) right before these young missionaries launched to nations such as Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and countless more. And I had the opportunity to join!
So, I sit to hear from the Lord on if this is something I should do. And I just feel it again “how can I not go?” So I booked my flight and was on the way a couple weeks later.
After being there for just a few weeks, my faith was stirred for a global movement of people locking eyes with Jesus. And again, I was confronted with the thought “how can I not go?” As I’m met Norwegian missionaries who buried themselves in India for 27 years contending for an unreached people group, whole families who sold their house and moved to Kenya for years to give their yes to orphans and refugees, saw youth there catch the love of God and hope to see their high schools met with that same love, I just desired to obey God all the more.
It’s trips like these that I get mightily humbled. In ways I think I’m going to teach or impart something to these people, I just get kindly (metaphorically) slapped into the realization that I’m actually taught more than I teach. That these students, staff, and real life lovers of Jesus motivate me to love Jesus all the more. They teach me what it means to sacrifice and obey no matter the cost. They show me the provision of the Father and help me see that our lives are not our own.
I know my “mission field” right now is the great state of Idaho, loving the people in front of me, and seeking God’s face in everything (even the mundane), but I can’t help but want to be a part of God’s hand in international places when I can. To see the flame in places that aren’t your own home will inspire you like none other. So I’m forever grateful for moments in life like these.
Join me in praying that Norway will continue to be a nation to send hundreds of missionaries a year to nations all throughout the earth! Pray for Norwegians to meet Jesus and be encountered by his love.

While in Norway, I had the honor of being with my dear friend, Nicole Mang. She is part of an awesome ministry called Brave Love, and I got to converse with her on the podcast about life on the mission field in her own nation (Norway)! Let her faith and heart for Jesus inspire you!
If you’re compelled by what God is doing in the nations and want to be a part of sewing seeds, 100% of proceeds from my small business lifted clothing will go to to this trip until it’s paid off + some fresh new clothing for your wardrobe:)
